Anna Skinner

Ann Skinner of Sundown, Texas passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at the age of 93.

Visitation will be at the Krestridge Funeral Home between 6:00PM-8:00PM Sunday, November 28, 2021. Graveside service will be held at Sundown Cemetery at 10:00AM on Monday, November 29, 2021, officiated by Tom Singo.

Anna Mae Lee was born in Vinson, Harmon County, Oklahoma on May 2, 1928. She and her family moved to Sundown Texas in 1937. She graduated from Sundown Schools in 1946.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H Skinner Jr.; son, Donald G Skinner; parents, Homer and Cora Lee; and siblings, Roy, Carl, Ralph, Noel, Terry, Russel, Rena, Glynn, Bob, and Hanks.

She is survived by children, Etta (Bob) of Grass Valley, CA, Kenny (Toni) of Wichita Falls, Janet (Tom) of Clarington, OH, and Kelly (Sonny) of Amarillo; sister, Iona Bilbrey of Sundown; grandchildren, Robert Skinner, Anthony McQuade, Jason McQuade, Tonya Ansell, Steve Singo, and Naomi Skinner; great grandchildren, Collin McQuade, Jaccob McQuade, Holly McQuade, Summer Bryant, Seaera Cole, Sydney McQuade, Lydia, Jeremiah, Sarah, Samuel, Joy, Levi, Faith, Miracle Ansell; great-great grandchild,  Augustus Bryant; and many nephews, nieces and other family members.

Ann married AH and raised their family in numerous states and retired back to Sundown in 1985.  They were married for 61 years.  Besides being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, she worked for a short time outside the home.  She enjoyed gardening, quilting, being outside, making grape jelly and cooking breakfast at family reunions.
