Arvilla Tipton

Arvilla Tipton, 99, of Levelland passed from this life on March 17, 2017, in Levelland, Texas. A family visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Second Baptist Church with burial to follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Arvilla was born to parents, J.W. and Maxie Sims, on October 8, 1917 in Tussey, Oklahoma. She moved to Oklahoma Flats at an early age and attended Whitharral Schools. She married Warren C. Tipton on October 23, 1937 in Clovis, New Mexico. Arvilla was a devoted wife, Mother, and a child of God.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Maurice and Finis Tipton; granddaughter, Kathy Tipton; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Arvilla is survived by her children, Loretta McNabb of Smyer, Johnny Tipton of Levelland, and Sue Shaver of Levelland; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests memorials be made in Arvilla's memory to Interim Hospice, 727 South Alamo Road, Levelland, Texas 79336.
