Becky Ann Vaughn

Becky Ann Vaughn was born on November 9, 1955, in Gladewater, Texas. She began her journey of life that would not only leave a mark on her community but also touch the hearts of many who knew her. Becky transitioned to eternal rest on September 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, humor, and delicious memories.

Her educational journey took her through Buckner High School in Richardson, Texas, where she laid the foundation for a life devoted to service and care. Throughout her career, Becky served the Denton Texas Independent School District and the University of North Texas. After relocating to Levelland, she continued her passion for community involvement by working at Second Baptist Church, a place where her spirit of service flourished.

Becky’s greatest joys were woven into the fabric of her daily life. A talented cook and an amateur food critic, she delighted in exploring and sharing culinary experiences with those around her. Her creative pursuits included scrapbooking and quilting, passions that not only showcased her artistic flair but also connected her to her family’s history through genealogy. Above all, being a Momo to her five cherished grandchildren—Brigitta Ann Granberry, Anson Lark McMahan, Ryeton Archer McMahan, Piper Jewel Granberry, and Georgia Claire McMahan—brought her immeasurable happiness and fulfillment.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, Ripley Thornton Vaughn; her mother, Mary Ann Clements; her brother, Michael Vaughn; and her sister, Rhonda George. While they will forever be remembered and honored, her living family includes her two daughters, Jennifer Granberry and Cathee McMahan, who carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and resilience.

A funeral service in celebration of Becky’s life will take place at Second Baptist Church, located at 301 Cherry Street, Levelland, Texas, on September 8, 2025, starting at 3:00 PM and concluding at 4:00 PM.

As we remember Rebecca Ann Vaughn, let us honor her spirit, her boundless love for family, and her unwavering commitment to her community. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
