Bernice Mills

Bernice Thomason Mills entered into her heavenly home on April 11, 2024. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland.  Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 also at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas with interment following in the Sundown Cemetery.  

She was born on July 3, 1935 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to James and Viola Thomason.  She graduated high school from Lamesa High school in Lamesa, Texas in 1954.  She then married her loving husband, Aubrey Mills, on June 5, 1954.  Together they raised seven wonderful children.

She was a firm believer of the Word of God and lived an example of such belief throughout her lifetime.  Her faith NEVER wavered and she served her God whole heartedly, she taught Sunday school classes in each church she attended making sure the Word of God was shared with everyone she met.

She was the best prayer warrior and prayed for her entire family and stood in the gap for many a soul.  Each of her children would hear her praying for them as well as others daily. 

At the time of her death, she was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church of Levelland. She loved studying the Bible and made certain that each of her children knew the Word of God. She loved each of us enough to make certain we knew who Jesus is; she did without in order to make certain that her children could attend church camps and activities.  She loved unconditionally each individual she met.   God’s love flowed through her into those of us left to carry on her legacy of the gospel of truth. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Aubrey Mills and her baby boy, Darrell Vaughn Mills.

She is survived by her children Rev. Bill Mills (Dana), LaDon Hunt (Harley), Loretta Lewis (Lynn), Mike Mills (Donna), Janell Cirilo (Chano), James Mills (Snow), (Becky) 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
