Darlene April Dillon

Darlene April Ewings Dillon, 81, of Levelland, Texas passed away on October 31, 2026.

Darlene was born on July 5, 1945 in Merrill, Maine to Charles R. Ewings, Sr. and Vada Mae Lewin Ewings. Darlene grew up in Millinocket, Maine and was the last child of 15 children. Darlene married James Dillon, Sr. in Boston, Massachusetts in 1967. She attended college in Boston and worked as an accountant for 30 years. After Jim’s death she moved to Levelland, Texas in 2011. She loved to travel with family and she enjoyed making lap quilts for Veterans in her spare time.

She is preceded in death by her husband James (Jim) Dillon; parents Charles and Vada Mae Ewings; six brothers; and six sisters.

She is survived by her brother Gilbert Ewings of Roseburg, Oregon; sister Charity (Kenneth) Hays of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; her beloved dog Princess; many nieces and nephews covering the United States; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to your favorite Veteran’s organization.
