Edith McGrew

Edith ''Punk'' ''Maude'' McGrew, 88, of Lubbock passed from this life on September 7, 2017 in Lubbock. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 11, 2017, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock.

Edith was born July 21, 1929 in Littlefield, Texas to parents Henry and Laura (Chandler) Vaughn. She married Floyd McGrew on December 1, 1957 in Texico, New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Carey Miles McGrew; sisters, Minnie Beavers and Mamie Layman; and brother, Wilburn Vaughn.

Edith is survived by her daughters, Karen Taylor of Lubbock and Kim Stewart and husband Carey of Brownwood; grandchildren, Tyler Cooper, Whitney Canady, Chase Taylor, Jayden Stewart and Laynie Taylor; and great granddaughter, Ilah Canady.

In lieu of usual remembrances, the family suggests donations be made in Edith's memory to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
