Edward John “EJ” Pinkert, 78, of Levelland passed from this life on April 21, 2024. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024, with the Rosary being held at 6:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2024, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Whitharral Cemetery.

EJ was born July 9,1945 in Marlin, Texas to Edward and Adela Sehon Pinkert. At the time of his birth his father, Edward was in Germany serving in the United States Army during World War II. The family moved to Southland, Teas from Lott, Texas and later relocated to Levelland where EJ started school. He graduated from Levelland High School in May of 1964 and attended Draughon’s Business College for three years. In 1967, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. He returned stateside in March of 1969.EJ met and married Bobbie McDonald on September 27, 1969, in Levelland where they continued to live.

He attended St. Michael’s Catholic Church most of his life and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus where he held the degree of third- and fourth-degree Knight. He was also a lifetime member of the girl scouts. EJ farmed for fifteen years and then went to work at Musslewhite Trucking for thirty years before retiring in October of 2013.

EJ was a loving Christian man who dearly loved his family and one who shared his joy and laughter with everyone he met including those he worked with.

EJ is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Adela Sehon Pinkert.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Bobbie Pinkert; children, Paul Pinkert (Cisti), Karen Holloway (Sean), Anne Pinkert and Monica Pinkert (Barbara); grandchildren, Sarah Estrada, Quinton Estrada (Chela), Tory Campbell (Corey), Dillon Holloway, Lexie Heinrich ( Grant), Matthew Pinkert (Taylor), Danielle Culp (Jeff) and Ronnie Baker; great grandchildren, Aiden Vasquez, Avalon Campbell, Rachel Campbell, Hudson Heinrich, Hayes Heinrich and Jax Estrada; sisters, Gloria Savitsky (Robert), Nancy Pinkert, Donna Hoelscher (Lloyd); brothers, Wayne Pinkert, Harvey Pinkert (Janet) and Clyde Pinkert (Joanna); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will miss him dearly.
