Eldon Sanders

Eldon E. Sanders departed this life on November 12, 2020.  He was born July 1, 1935 and married Florene Sanders on February 24, 1957.  He retired from the State of Texas Highway Department after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Florene Sanders; son, Lonnie Sanders and wife Cynthia of Lubbock; daughter, Ann Mayo of Branson, MO; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, James Sanders and wife Pat of Tulia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, William Boyett and Amber Sanders; brothers, W.C. “Clinton” Sanders and wife Willie of Tulia, Allen Troy “Bo” Sanders and wife Edith of Martha, OK, John “J.L.” Sanders and wife Loretta of Marlow, OK, Eddie Sanders and wife Norma of Levelland; sisters, Muriel Fincher and husband Burnice of Tulia, Billie Barfield and husband William of Amarillo, Jessie Orr and husband Shorty of Tulia, Pauline Hoiler and husband Pete of Dimmit, and Jean Hedrick and husband Don of Amarillo.

There are currently no services scheduled due to safety concerns related to Covid.  The Sanders family would like to express gratitude to all of the hospice nurses and his caregivers who took amazing care of him, and all of their friends and family for your support and care in this time of need.
