Elizabeth Jane Stroud

Elizabeth Jane (Nelson) Stroud, 70, of Levelland, Texas, passed away on August 18, 2025. She was born on September 28, 1954, in Levelland to Melvin Benjamin and Nell (Sanders) Nelson.

Jane married the love of her life, Terry Ray Stroud, and together they shared 46 years of marriage. She worked in the Business Office at South Plains College for 32 years and held a bachelor’s degree from Lubbock Christian University. At the time of her passing, she was serving as the church secretary at First Presbyterian Church in Levelland.

Jane was a gifted pianist, beginning her service in sixth grade and continuing throughout her life. She played for several congregations throughout the years in Levelland, including Second Baptist Church, Fifth Street Baptist Church and First Methodist Church. She was also a long-standing member of the Levelland Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter, Tara Windsor and husband Justin of Levelland; her son, Clint Stroud and wife Garon of Lubbock; 5 wonderful grandchildren, Raston, Brixtyn, and Braycen Stroud, and Briar and Eli Windsor that she was so very proud of.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Benjamin and Nell Nelson; her husband, Terry Stroud; her brother, Benjie Nelson; and her sister, Bonnie Yates.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 from 6:00–8:00 P.M. at Krestridge Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Krestridge Funeral Home, with interment to follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery.
