Fredy Gerald Caswell

Fredy Gerald Caswell, 69, of Smyer, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas, surrounded by the love of his family.

Fredy was born to Winford and Ruby Caswell, both of whom preceded him in death. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Fredy’s life was defined by his deep love for his family. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Ricki Caswell, and together they built a family that was always the center of his world.

He is survived by his wife, Ricki Caswell; children, Rene Nuss and husband, Jason, Amy Armes and husband, Brady, and Matt Caswell and wife, Sara. Fredy was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren—Bo and wife, Chloe, Ally and husband, Jonathan, Kassidy and husband, Hunter, Hailey and husband, Joseph, Kenzie and husband Braxton, Cody, Anna, Leah, and Ben—and a cherished great-grandfather to ten great-grandchildren, Gage, Daxx, Loki, Layla, Riggins, Livvi, Easton, Logan, John and Deliah, all of whom brought endless joy to his life. And his three sisters Patty, Donna and Laurie.

Fredy was a family man to his core. His home was the heart of many gatherings, and nothing made him happier than the sound of his great grandkids running around the house, usually with snacks in hand. With a twinkle in his eye and a grin on his face, he would often say, “I love a little misery in the house.”

His warm spirit, sense of humor, and deep love for his family will be missed more than words can express.

A celebration of Fredy’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 31,2025 at Krestridge Funeral Home.
