Gayla Ann Wallace, 83, of Levelland passed from this life on May 19,2024. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Gayla was born in Emory, Texas to John and Helen Childers Gray on July 1,1940. She was raised in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School in 1958. She married her Air Force sweetheart in August of 1958 and together they lived in Kansas and California before settling back in Texas. Gayla and Don added to their family in 1969 with the birth of their son, Bill. Gayla was a fun loving grammy and even better great grammy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Gray; husband, Donald Wallace; in laws, Frank and Mae Kittinger and Manuel Wallace.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include son, Bill Wallace and wife, Kandee of Lubbock; adopted daughter, Jeanie Brown and husband, Dale; brother, William Gray and wife, Cheryl; grandsons, William Brown (Holly), Braxton Brown, Christopher Wallace, Shawn Wallace and wife, Jessica Carey; Ron Wallace and fiancé, Jade Shelton and Geoffrey Wallace and great grandson, Koe Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Rochelle, Activities Director of Levelland Nursing Home, for her friends that reside at the home. Rochelle was Gayla’s angel.
