Glendolyn Phillips

Glendolyn Elouise Bales Purdy Phillips, 89, of Levelland passed from this life at her home on May 17, 2018. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018, at 2:00 pm in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland, Texas. Interment will follow at the Littlefield Memorial Park.

She was born March 4, 1929 to parents, Marcus Alexander Bales and Essie Janie Ratliff. She lived most of her life in Littlefield.

Glendolyn had a passion for family, homemaking, cooking the most delicious meals, sewing, fishing, planting flowers, watching birds, hummingbirds being her most favorite, hours of reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was part of a bowling league and loved to cheer on her Littlefield Wildcats, Red Raiders and Texas Rangers. Glendolyn was a member of the Cactus Drive Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers Leroy, Lilburn, Douglas, Kenneth and Malcolm Bales; and son, Larry Glenn Purdy.

Glendolyn is survived by her husband of 35 wonderful years, Harold Ray Phillips of Levelland, Tx. ; children, Gary Alan and Angie Purdy of Littlefield, Tx., Cindy and Dale Demel of Bula, Tx., Jeri Phillips of Fort Worth, Tx., Patty Carter of Whitney, Tx., Kitty Bint of Merkel, Tx., and Kelly Oden of Lubbock, Tx.; grandchildren, Sheri Veazey, Keely Cristan, Geff Purdy, Tara Humphreys, Kristen McCain, Whitney McWilliams, Blake Demel, Chris Grisham, Josh Grisham, Billy Little, Tammy Little, Lori Little, Rene Carter and Trav Carter; 28 great grandchildren; and 16 great great grandchildren.
