Gracie Ward

Gracie Ann Ward, 76, of Levelland passed from this life on January 6, 2022.  Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born March 1, 1945 in Sherman to I.W. and Nannette Riney.  Gracie married Johnny R. Ward on January 16, 1962.  She retired from Spartan Transportation after over 30 years of service.

Gracie loved country music (Johnny Rodriguez was her favorite), dancing, Coors Light and fishing.  She enjoyed sharing her love of old movies, especially Casablanca.  Gracie loved collecting chickens (not live ones) and they can be found all around her house.

She spent her Sundays watching Nascar or football, or playing SkipBo with her kids and grandkids.  Gracie loved all of her kids and grandkids.

Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, I.W. and Nannette Riney; husband, Johnny R. Ward; sister, Carolyn Riney; brother, Perry Riney; daughter-in-law, Camille Ward; and great grandson, Jackson Ward.

She is survived by sons, Johnny K. Ward and Michael Ward; great grandson, John Torres; daughters, Tonya (Doug) Lowe and Kristie (Phillip) Cortez; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Texas Lions Camp, 4100 San Antonio Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78028.
