Irma Lopez Barrera

Irma Lopez Barrera, 64, of Lubbock and formerly of Levelland passed from this life on August 3, 2022.  Visitation will be on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home, with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm .  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

She was born October 9, 1957 in Sundown to Mike and Antonia Lopez. 

Irma loved working with her wreaths as well as spending time with her family.  She enjoyed going to Hobby Lobby and the Dollar Store just to see what she could find to decorate her home.  Irma always made sure she was home in time to watch her Novellas because she didn’t like to miss them.  She also enjoyed playing games and doing puzzles on her iPad.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mike H. Lopez; mother, Antonia Lopez; and brother, Mike Lopez, Jr.

Irma is survived by her husband of 48 years, Benito Barrera, Sr.; daughter, Jovita Barrera of Lubbock; sons, Benito (Lori) Barrera, Jr. of South Padre and Mario (Crystal) Barrera of Levelland; siblings, Thomas (Mary) Hernandez of Austin, Alice (Johnny) Castillo of Littlefield, Frank Hernandez of Scottsbluff, NE, Benito (Thelma) Lopez, Sr. of Whitharral, Albert (Christine) Lopez of Midland, Margie Lopez of Levelland and Patricia (Jesse) Perez of Levelland; and 6 grandchildren.
