James Allen Melton

James Allen Melton ,64, of Levelland passed from this life on September 10, 2025. Visitation will take place on Friday September 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Krestridge Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

He was born on February 11, 1961, in Spokane Washington to his parents, James Gary and Hazel Dean (Gable) Melton.

In 1981, Allen went to work for Amoco Production; a job that eventually brought him to Levelland, Texas. This is where he met and married his first and only love, Susie Gardner in 2004. Allen enjoyed his work, Travelling and live music. His motto always was… “Value everyday and take it one day at a time.” Allen died at home with his loving family and friends beside him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Gary and Hazel Dean Melton.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his loving wife Susie and her children, Coby and Jeffrey Gardner. He is also survived by his sister, Amanda Jo Kirkpatrick (Keith); several cousins, aunts, and nephews.
