Jesus Quevedo

Jesus Carlos Quevedo, 57, of Levelland, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at his home in Levelland. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7 PM on Friday,March 10, 2017 at Krestridge Funeral Home, 505 Austin Street Levelland, TX 79336 . Funeral Mass will be held 11AM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 316 East Washington Street Levelland, TX 79336.

Carlos was born September 12, 1959 to Augustin and Isabel (Varela) Quevedo in Uvalde, TX. He attended and graduated from Knippa High School in Knippa, TX. Shortly after graduation he moved to Lubbock and then to Levelland when he married his wife, Mary Ybarra on May 15, 2004. Carlos loved fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and going to watch all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren in their sporting events.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Augustin and Isabel Quevedo and brothers, Jose V. Mata Jr and Guadalupe V. Mata.

Those left honor and cherish his memory include loving wife, Mary Quevedo of Levelland, TX; children, Carla Garcia and husband Steve of Houston, TX, Anita Ovalle of Levelland, TX, Tommie Vidales and husband Sergio of Levelland, TX, Jesse Casarez and wife Jaime of Lamesa, TX; sisters, Irene Coffman of San Antonio, TX, Sylvia Quiroz and husband Carmelo of Uvalde, TX; brothers, Ruben Mata and wife Carrie of Levelland, TX, Eduardo Quevedo and wife Emma of Lubbock, TX; along with fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mary would like to thank her daughters Tommie and Anita, she wouldn't have made it without them.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
