Josephine Majors

Josephine Majors, 93, of Levelland passed from this life on January 26, 2019. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Cactus Drive Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

She was born to Nelse and Edwina Nelson on March 25, 1925 in Clarksville, Texas. Josephine attended school in Clarksville. She married Willie Lee Majors on September 3, 1952 in Levelland. Josephine was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Morning Star House of Prayer.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Willie Lee; her parents; and siblings, Marie Dawson, Nelse Nelson, Jr., Lewis Nelson, Fred Nelson, Charlene Smith and Gladys Smith.

She is survived by her children, Gail Nickens of Nashville, Tn. and Glenda Jones of Levelland; sisters, Ester Ricks of Clarksville, Texas, Emma Jones and Theola Mathis both of Amarillo, Texas; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
