Juanita Dominguez, 91, of Sundown passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, in Levelland, Texas. Visitation will be on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Krestridge Funeral Home with the Reading of the Holy Rosary starting at 6:30. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, with internment following in the Sundown Cemetery.

Juanita was born on December 29, 1934, to her parents, Marcial “Mike” and Juliana Dominguez in Hondo, Texas and grew up in Sundown, Texas. She was a hard worker, having been employed at Girlstown, USA, managing Whiteface farms for Mr. Wheeler, and working for Sundown ISD for 25 years.

Juanita also taught her nephews the value of being kind, hard work, and the importance of family. She helped raise Tony’s kids upon her passing and helped her sister raise her nephew, Harold.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Juliana Dominguez; her sisters, Antonia “Tony” Torres and Helen Garcia; brothers, Marcial “Little Mike Jr.”, Jim Dominguez, and Rudy Dominguez; and her nephews, Raymond Torres, Johnny Torres, Lupe Torres, and her niece, Tangy Torres.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her sisters, Virginia Dominguez and Mary McGinnis, along with numerous nephews and nieces.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Texas Tech School of Public Administration or Covenant Hospital.
