Kerry Israel

The Heavens opened up on August 2, 2018 and welcomed home Kerry Dale Israel, age 51. Kerry was born to Dale and Sandy Israel on December 11, 1966 in Lubbock Texas.

Kerry lived in Levelland for the first few years of his life and then moved with his family to Arlington, Texas. Growing up in Arlington Kerry took every opportunity to play any sports but loved to play football the most. Kerry graduated from Martin High School. Upon graduation Kerry started his first job at Don Davis Automobile shop. Through the years Kerry exceeded in every job he worked. Fellow workers became friends and friends became family. Kerry began working in the oil field where he became a part of a larger family that would develop friendships that will forever be cherished. People would often look at Kerry and see a big burly man however, when they would get to know him it wouldn't take long for them to realize that he was nothing more than a sweet cuddly bear. Kerry always had a hug for his friends and family. Through the years when not on the rig, Kerry could be found on the lake fishing for those big bass, in the woods hunting for that perfect buck, or out at the tract mud racing. Kerry loved life to the fullest! Kerry will be truly missed!

Kerry is preceded in death by his dad, Dale Israel. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sandy Israel and 5 sisters: Kelly Gilmer (Kevin), Kathy Witts (Joseph), Kandace Lewis (Eric), Kayla Velez (Frank) and Kasandra Minter. Kerry is also survived by an uncle, Chester Israel (Sheri) and an aunt, Marynell Israel and numerous nieces and nephews. Kerry had a large extended family including his fishing family, hunting family, mud racing family, and last but not lest his oilfield family of Patterson UTI.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland.
