Laverne Williams

Estha “Laverne” Williams, 90, of Levelland passed from this life on March 17, 2023.  Visitation will be on Monday, March 20, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Park Drive Baptist Church in Levelland.  Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

She was born July 25, 1932 in Olton to Harvey and Zella Huckabee.  Laverne attended and graduated from Springlake-Earth High School. She married Cecil Williams on March 18,1950 in Curry County, New Mexico.

Laverne has been a resident of Levelland since 1962. She retired from Shugart Studios after 33 years of service. Even after retirement she kept and cared for many children throughout the years.

Laverne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil Williams; and daughters, Gail Eschelman and Rhonda Boggs (Jerry).

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her sons, Randy Williams (Vicki) and Jackie Williams (Lindy); brother, Richard Huckabee; sister-in-law, Linda Williams; grandchildren, Jerry (Kylie) Boggs, Derrick (Holly) Boggs, Melissa (Jon Paul) Rountree, Mandy (Brian) Guess, Brandy (Kenny) Montgomery, Shea (Mark) Baccus, Kevin (Brittania) Blanks, Nicole Harral, and Natalie (Zack) Mowery; great grandchildren, Jordan (Katherine) Boggs, Kaedyn and Kerrigan Boggs, Abbi, Ethan, Kayleigh and Britton Boggs, Trevor and Zander Rountree, Macy Russell, Will Guess, Triston (Alyssa) Montgomery, Kirston Montgomery, Kwade, Kutter and Kelby Baccus, Brianna, and Weston Blanks, Dalton and Lincoln Harral, Brody and Sadie Mowery; great great-grandchild, Jaxon Irwin; along with a host of extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.
