Linda Canon

Linda Jeanne Canon, 75, of Sundown passed from this life on February 8, 2021.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 11, 2021, in the Sundown Cemetery.

She was born October 27, 1945 in Artesia, California to George Berry and Mary Imogene (Thompson) Lyons.  Linda graduated from Whiteface High School.  She married C.B. Canon on December 19, 1964 in Whiteface.  Linda and C.B. were the owners of The Supreme Restaurant in Sundown for several years.  He preceded her in death on January 11, 2003.

Linda was a teacher’s aide at West Elementary in Levelland and was the librarian at Sundown Elementary for 30 years.  At the time of her death, she was the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2 in Hockley County.  Linda was a member of First Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, Linda was preceded in death by her parents, G.B. and Mary Lyons; brothers, George Lyons and Charles Lyons.

Linda is survived by her sons, Casey Canon and Cory Canon and wife Rebecca; daughter, Ginger Baez and husband Frank; and grandson, Cord Canon.
