Linda Lou Wisdom

Linda Lou Wisdom, 85, of Levelland passed from this life on November 8, 2023.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

She was born December 13, 1937 in Deport, Texas to Gordon and Cleo Martin. Linda married Ed Wisdom on May 27, 1956 and they had two sons, Alan and Andy.

Linda was a long time homemaker and spent much time helping on the family farm. She was deeply dedicated to her family and was a caregiver to many. She was happily involved in everything her boys participated in, including 4-H activities, stock showing and boat racing. She loved spending time at the lake, traveling with her sister and hosting large family gatherings. 

To those who knew her, she was generous, kind, fun-loving, intuitive, welcoming and thoughtful. However, her fondest title was “Grandmom”. She spent countless hours as the most patient, creative and devoted playmate. She was always up for an adventure, and richly blessed the lives of her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy; and husband, Ed.

Linda is survived by her son, Alan and wife Nikki; son, Andy and wife Heather, all of Levelland; sister Dee Ann and husband Howard, of Midland; grandchildren, Chay, and wife Amber, Chad and wife Shayla, Haven, Chessa and Tristan; great grandchildren, Austin Rose and Tatum Brae. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to South Plains College Levelland General Scholarship Fund.
