Lonny Bilbrey

Lonny Steven Bilbrey was born on January 26, 1954 in Lubbock, Texas to Glen and Iona (Lee) Bilbrey. He was a resident of Sundown, Texas and graduated from Sundown High School in 1972.

Lonny attended South Plains College and then pursued a career as an electrician. He worked for Popejoy Electric, Kelly Coppage, and then Amoco, where he took an early retirement. After retirement, he began his second career as a community helper.

Lonny had many different hobbies including: fishing, camping, playing frisbee and hackysack, and spending time out at The Farm. Lonny, or ‘Unc’ as many people knew him, was a friend to all, helped anyone who was in need, and always had a smile on his face.

He passed from this life on February 11, 2022. He is survived by his mother, Iona Bilbrey of Sundown, his sisters, Glenda Bryant (John) of Cranfills Gap, and Lisa Green (Darrell) of Sundown, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Glen Bilbrey and brother, William Larry Bilbrey.

Visitation will be Monday, February 14th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas at 10:00 AM.
