Margaret Lorena Altman, 80, of Levelland passed from this life on November 30, 2021.  Visitation will be on Monday, December 6, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm at the City of Lubbock Cemetery on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

She was born June 8, 1941 at home in New Deal to James Hinland and Blanch Lorene (Loving) Worsham.  Margaret met James Altman through a blind date set up by family.  Shortly after meeting, they married on August 13, 1959.  Margaret received her GED in 1979 while raising her five children.

Margaret was active in the Home Extension Club in Plains and taught Girl Scouts and Brownies.  She co-owned and operated both Altman’s Cleaners and Plains Motel.

Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, candy making, gardening and keeping up with her stories on television.

Mama, we love you and we are going to miss you.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, James and Blanch Worsham; sisters, Alice Perry and Bula Mae Worsham; and brother, Glen Worsham.

She is survived by her husband, James Altman; children, Denisa Haag and husband Albert of Nunn, Colorado, Alan Altman and wife Angie of Lubbock County, Carol Lawson and husband Alton “Bunk” of Levelland, Dana Davis and husband Trey of Fort Stockton, and Jamie Altman and wife Amanda of Levelland; 14 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
