Margarita Mendoza

Margarita Mendoza, 85, passed away on April 17, 2019. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2019, at Krestridge Funeral Home. The Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2019, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

She was born on November 29, 1933 in La Casita, Texas to parents Mauro and Francisca Montalvo. Margarita earned her GED and worked for Levelland Independent School District in various campus cafeterias for over 20 years.

Margarita was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Hilda Mendoza and brothers, Martiriano Montalvo, Doming o Montalvo, Bernardo Montalvo, Johnny Montalvo, and Rene Montalvo.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Alonzo Mendoza, Sr. of Levelland; sons, Alonzo, Jr. of Levelland, Alfonso ''Pancho'' (Virginia) of Ozona, and David of Dallas; brother, Greg Montalvo of Austin; sisters, Martina Bazan of San Marcos and Socorro Montalvo of New Braunfels; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
