Maria Aida Ochoa,75, passed away on July 5, 2025, at her residence. Born on May 15, 1950, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Aida married Raymond Joe Ochoa on August 8, 1965, a union that brought forth six cherished children: Andrew, Richard, Stephen, Eric, Andrea, and Kristian. As a dedicated mother, she poured her heart into nurturing her family and instilled in them the values of love and compassion. Known as Nandie to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she found immense joy in shopping for them and especially enjoyed sewing and crocheting gifts that they would treasure.
In addition to her role as a loving mother and grandmother, Aida was also a supportive pastor's wife, embodying kindness and grace in all her interactions within the community. Her warmth and genuine spirit left a profound impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path.
Surviving Aida are her sons, Andrew Ochoa of Lubbock, Texas, Richard Ochoa of Lubbock, Texas, Stephen Ochoa of Levelland, Texas, and Eric Ochoa of Levelland, Texas; her daughters, Andrea Medrano of Seminole, Texas, and Kristian Ochoa of Levelland, Texas. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard Solano of Haskell, Texas, Norma Gomez of Levelland, Texas, and Elsa Hernandez of Lubbock, Texas.
Aida was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Joe Ochoa, as well as her parents, Lucio and Belia Solano. She also mourns the loss of her son, Johnny Ray Ochoa, and brothers, Oscar Solano, Lucio Solano Jr., and Carlos Solano.
A celebration of Aida's life will take place on July 11, 2025, at Levelland First Assembly of God Church located at 709 9th St, Levelland, TX 79336, beginning at 11:00 AM.
Maria Aida Ochoa leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, and her memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration to her family and all who were touched by her kindness.
