Martin Edward Jordan, 77, of Levelland passed from this life on February 21, 2020.  Visitation will be held from 8:00 to 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Krestridge Funeral Home.

He was born on July 26, 1942 at home in Anson, Texas to parents, Buford Daniel and Virginia Marie (Reid) Jordan.  Martin started working in the cotton fields alongside his dad and uncles at a very young age.  He married Anita Crystal Jordan on February 14, 1963.  They were married for 38 years until her death in 2001.

Martin worked as foreman on Kachina Packing Plant, painted signs for businesses, owned a small produce company in the early 70’s called Open Air Produce, but, most of his working career was spent in the oilfield industry on a pulling unit as rig operator.

In November 2002, Linda Baxter became Martin’s second life partner.  They remained together until her death in 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anita Crystal Jordan; wife, Linda Williams Baxter; and sister, Sally Bross.

Martin is survived by his children, Virginia Ann Wells, David Allen Jordan, Lillian Josephine Huffman and Paula Renee Jordan; 3 step-sons; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren who affectionately called him Papa.
