Michael Wayne Worley, 76, of Lubbock passed from this life on March 10, 2026. Visitation will be held at Krestridge Funeral Home on Friday, March 20,2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at Krestridge Funeral Home on Saturday, March 21, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM.

Mike was born on August 1, 1949 in Levelland to Harold Cecil Worley and Velma Alice McElhannon Worley. He was raised in Levelland and was a 1967 graduate of Levelland High School. He was in the United States Army where his served in Vietnam from 1971 to 1972. Mike started Worley Welding Works in 1974 and proudly owned it for nearly 50 years. He was devoted Texas Tech and South Plains College Booster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Velma Worley and brother, Phil Worley.

He is survived by son, Chad Worley and wife, Hollie of Leander, Texas; daughter, Rae Lyn Worley Chenault of Kingwood, Texas; grandsons, Cole Worley, Tyler Worley, Luke Worley and Ridge Chenault; sister, Mary Borland and husband Glen; along with several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to a South Plains College scholarship of one’s choice.
