Nita Bob McFadin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 26, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on October 20, 1951, in Littlefield, Texas, to Robert Lee "Bob" Turner and Nita Cherry Crawford (Turner).
On June 21, 1975, Nita Bob married her soulmate and the love of her life, William Wayne McFadin, in Levelland, Texas. Their love story was one built on deep devotion, shared laughter, and unshakable support.
Nita Bob had a gift for making life beautiful. Her favorite job was serving as the librarian at North Elementary in Breckenridge, Texas, where she went far beyond her job title. She had a special way of turning ordinary moments into magical ones, especially for the children fortunate enough to cross her path. Her kindness, creativity, and fierce love for learning left a lasting impact on generations of children.
A true genius in the kitchen, she could take the simplest ingredients and turn them into decadent feasts made from scratch. She had a green thumb like no other--growing, harvesting, and canning her bounty with care and love for her family and friends.
Nita Bob's passing is surrounded by tragic circumstances, and her family will announce a celebration of her life at a later date, when all can gather to honor the joy she brought into the world.
She was welcomed into Heaven by many who went before her: her parents, her brothers Danny Ray and Joe Dale, her granddaughter Jeannie Quinn, her grandson Cougar McFadin, and her best friend Christy Mosser.
Left to honor her memory are her loving husband, Wayne McFadin; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren: Summer McFadin, Parker, Kalli, Trace, and Kwail McFadin; Robert, Danielle, Michael, and Giovanni Quinn; as well as Sarah and Aiden Morris; Donny and Dwayna Bailey and family, Chuck and Sherri Carlson and family, Tony and Donna Strawn, Joseph and Candace Crawford and family, and a host of cherished extended family and dear friends.
Nita Bob lived a life full of purpose, generosity, and love. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
