Obie Humphreys

Obie Bryant Humphreys, 61, of Levelland passed from this life on November 4, 2018. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Second Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

He was born May 17, 1957 in Levelland. Obie worked in the oil industry for over 40 years as a tool pusher. He was a member of the South Plains AA Group, Levelland Chapter. Obie was also a member of Second Baptist Church.

Obie was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Pearl Humphreys; grandson, Gage Humphreys; brothers, Tracy, Doyle and Ronald Humphreys; father, G.W. Cockrell; sister, Becky; grandparents, Pearl and Cyrus Humphreys; and step brothers, Ricky, Roger and Robby Cockrell.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Cockrell; children, Justin (Casey) Humphreys, Dwayne (Kim) Humphreys,Amanda Cherry and Lona Michelle Humphreys; their mother, Shelly Humphreys; 13 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
