Paula Mae Dunn

Paula Mae Dunn, 84, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026. Born on March 17, 1943, in Oklahoma City, OK, Paula was a cherished presence whose warmth touched the lives of many.

On June 8, 1963 Paula married Earl Dunn in Oklahoma City. In 1965 she graduated from Eastern New Mexico University where she received a degree in Journalism. Using her degree in Journalism, Paula, worked at KRLD in Dallas, TX as a writer from 1965-1969. Paula was also an active member of the Las Fidelis Study Club at South Plains College, where she was also a former President of the Club.

She is preceded in death by her mother Margaret Mae Bennett; father Paul Lovell Bennett; and her brother Russell Dougherty Bennett.

She is survived by her husband Dr. Earl Dunn; son Chris Dunn; daughters Amanda Burns (David) and Russann Dennis (Christopher); and grandchildren Drew Dunn, Max Burns, Kaitlann Dunn-Dennis, Hayden Burns, Cole Dunn, and Gray Dunn.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Paula’s life at a memorial service to be held at First United Methodist Church, located at 1011 Houston St, Levelland, TX 79336, on August 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Donations can be made to the Las Fidelis Study Club Scholarship Fund at South Plains College.
