Petra Casarez

Petra Casarez, 63, of Levelland passed from this life at her home on April 11, 2018. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, April 12th and 13th, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Cochran Memorial Cemetery in Morton, Texas.

She was born in Helena, Texas on January 15, 1955 to parents, Lorenzo, Sr. and Genoveva (Trevino) Morin.

Petra was employed at Cochran Memorial Hospital for several years before moving to Levelland. She worked at South Plains Community Action in Levelland before retiring in 2013 from South Plains Rural Health. Petra was a member of St. Ann's Church in Morton before she moved to Levelland and became a member of St. Michael's Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her significant other, McDaniel Martinez of Morton; children, Robert (Brett Butler) Casarez, Jr. of Levelland, Michelle (Larry) Bihl of Bledsoe; and Veronica Martinez; grandchildren, Melanie Bihl and Brandon Bihl; siblings, Lorenzo (Evelyn) Morin of Morton, Martina (Richard, Sr.) Rodriguez of Levelland, Enrique (Yolanda) Morin of Levelland, Hilario Morin of Morton, Reynaldo (Norma) Morin of Morton; numerous nieces and nephews.
