Ramiro Calderon, 64, passed from this life in Lubbock on February 6, 2018. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Lubbock. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens.

Ramiro was born June 28, 1953 in McAllen, Texas. He graduated from Lubbock High in 1972. He went on to serve his country honorably in the Army 1st Calvary Infantry Division during the Vietnam War. After serving his county, he went on to further his education at South Plains College. He worked for Texas Instruments, then after 26 years he retired from Greer Ironworks.

After retirement, Ramiro enjoyed spending time with family and friends telling jokes. His favorite hobbies were fishing, watching boxing, and his #1 football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Guadelia Puebla Singleterry, and grandson, Zayden Lee Aguilar.

Ramiro is survived by his wife, Bobbi; children, Emily Calderon, Ramiro Calderon, Jr., Sandra Calderon, Cynthia Zuniga, Mackenzy Kaplan; brothers, Ignacio, Julio, Emilio; sisters, Manuelita, Suzana, Gloria, Elida, Francisca; 10 gandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
