Ransley Cooper, 37, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2022 In Lubbock, Tx.

He was born on November 15, 1984 in Floresville, Tx to Evalina Kenley and John Kenneth Cooper Jr. Ransley grew up in Sundown, Tx where he graduated in 2004. He joined the military upon graduation where he served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years. Petty Officer Cooper was able to travel the world and live overseas in Italy and Japan as well as visit many countries and states throughout his time of service.

Ransley attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Tx. He later relocated back to his hometown area, Lubbock, where he went on and graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 2016.

Ransley was the oldest of 6 children. His brothers and sisters were his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching his brothers play football and sisters run cross country and track. Ransley loved listening to music and watching sports. His favorite teams were the L.A. Lakers and the Dallas Cowboys. His all-time favorite athletes were Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed making them laugh. He was also a loving uncle.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Kenneth Cooper Jr; grandparents, John and Alice Cooper and Juan and Guadalupe O’canas.

Ransley is survived by his parents, Evalina and Brent Kenley of Sundown and Joe Rodriguez Jr. of Sundown; siblings, Lisa Rodriguez and spouse Roland Hernandez of Sundown, Martin O’canas and spouse Bailey Rios of Lubbock, Marcella Kenley and spouse Marco Ramos of Wolfforth, Rebecca Kenley and spouse Zach Smith and Brandon Kenley of Sundown; nephew Zayden; and nieces, Alice, and Briella.

Funeral Services are scheduled for January 26 th at 10:00 am at Sundown Church in Sundown.  Interment will follow at the Sundown Cemetery.
