Robert Dan Hook

Robert Dan Hook, 87, of Levelland passed from this life on July 5, 2024. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, July 15, 2024, at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Dan was born to Frank and Helen Bogardus Hook in Quanah, Texas on August 31,1936. He was a graduate of Quanah High School and then attended Texas Tech University where he received a degree in legal education. He went on to receive his law degree from Baylor University School of Law in 1962. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Jo Young on December 27,1959 in Bula, Texas. Dan and Carolyn adopted two beautiful children, David Hook in 1966 and Laura Hook in 1968.

Dan served as an attorney for South Plains College for thirty-three years and had his own practice specializing in real estate. Dan also was the co-owner Hockley County Abstract for twenty-two years. He lived a full life where he traveled often with his children and grandchildren. Dan enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with close friends at McDonalds before work. He devoted much time and energy to pursing his faith at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Levelland.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen Hook; wife, Carolyn Hook and sister, Marian.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include son, David Hook; daughter, Laura Hook; grandchildren, Logan Hook, Jordan Hook, Joel Adams, Sarah Adams, and Daniel Adams; and great granddaughter, Norah Adams.
