Robert (Bob) Redford

Robert (Bob) Redford, 77, died peacefully at his home in Lubbock on August 8, 2022.  Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Second Baptist Church in Levelland.

He was born in Duncan, Oklahoma on June 26, 1945 to RJ and Bernice Redford.  Bob grew up in Waurika where he graduated from high school in 1963.

Bob graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1967 with a degree in agricultural sciences.  He began his career with Ralston Purina, which brought him to Lubbock where he met his future wife, Vickie.  They married in 1971 and eventually settled in Levelland where Bob spent 30 years working for Amoco (later Altura and Occidental Petroleum) as an Automation Technician.

After retiring, Bob and Vickie cruised around the world and spent time at their happy place on Lake Leon.

Bob could build or fix just about anything.  He worked tirelessly to make sure things were always perfect for his family.  He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Levelland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob is survived by his wife, Vickie; daughter, Susan; son, Brent; daughters-in-law, Shanna and Lindsay; grandchildren, Molly, Ava and Ben; along with his beloved dog, Lexi.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Bob's memory to Second Baptist Church Levelland, Lubbock Animal Shelter or Accent Care Hospice.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Krestridge Funeral Home.  (806) 897-1111
