Ronald Petty

Ronald Ira Petty, age 64, passed away on December 4, 2019 at Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was born in Levelland, Texas, to Troy and Maureen Petty on October 20, 1955. After the death of his mother he was adopted and raised in Tucson by Reta Petty and his father, Troy. He has been a Las Vegas resident for the past 10 years.

Ron attended High School in Tucson, Arizona and graduated in 1974 from Amphitheater High School. After attending college at the University of Arizona, Ron began his career with Safeway in Tucson, and then took a job in Saudi Arabia. Later he worked for the Super Kmart Cooperate Offices in Troy, Michigan and Illinois. Most recently he was the owner with his wife Barbara, of Doggie Oasis day care for the past 8 1/2 years.

Ron truly enjoyed spending time with all the pets that he cared for. In his spare time, he liked to follow politics, challenge friends with trivia, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Ron was very active on Facebook and had many valued friends.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years Barbara Louise Petty, children Sherri McGrane (Wayne), Jeffrey Baker (Amy), grandchildren Ashley Cluff (Nate), Sarah McGrane, Jessica McGrane, Kayla Baker, Elise Baker and great grandchild Max Cluff. Ron is also survived by his brothers Troy Petty, Randy Petty (Tonya), Scott Petty (Terry), nephews, Mark, Chris, Todd, Clinton, Kyle, nieces Crystal, April, Velvet, Jenny, Julie, Leza, Tyler, Sarah, Kelsea, and a host of extended family members and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on December 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas. He will be laid to rest at City of Levelland Cemetery following the services. An additional memorial service will be held on January 18,
at 10:00 a.m. at Vision Church, 7511 N Bennet Dr, in Tucson, Arizona 85743
