Rosa M. Chavez

Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother Rosa Chavez, 88 of Levelland was called home on June 14,2024. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, June 17, 2024, with the Rosary being held at 6:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Rosa was born to Rito and Bennina Martinez Morales on October 5,1935 in Coleman, Texas. She married Ed Chavez in Morton. Rosa worked many years for the school district and retired as a food prep worker. She loved cooking, gardening and traveling.

She is preceded in her parents, Rito and Bennina Morales; son, John “Armondo” Barrera; grandson, Ronald Dean Barrera, two brothers and four sisters.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Ed Chavez; sons, David Barrera, Sonny Barrera and Jim Chavez; daughters, Ida Rangel and Yolanda Ramon along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
