Sandra “Sandy” Jeane Saunders Faerber

Sandra “Sandy” Jeane Saunders Faerber, 86, of Pettit passed from this life on January 7, 2026. Visitation will be held at Krestridge Funeral Home on Friday, January 9,2026 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Krestridge Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, beginning at 8:30 AM. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Sandy was born and raised in Pettit, Texas. She moved to California with her three children and that is where she met the love of her life, Bret Faerber. They married on January 6,1977 in Anaheim, California. The family moved back to Pettit and lived on the family farm in March of 1974. In October of 1992 at the age of 53, Sandy went to college to become a nurse. She started her nursing career in 1995 at the Levelland Hospital, where in time she became the head of labor and delivery. Sandy worked for hospice for six years as well as a school nurse for Pep Alternative School. Sandy retired in August of 2017 at 78 years old.

She is preceded in death by her Papa and Maw-Maw, Clarence and Maude Saunders; mother, Mildred Peery; brother, Chuck Peery; grandson, J.T. Wright and great grandson, Logan Albus.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Bret Faerber; son, Chuck Wright and wife, Becky; daughters, Renee Wright and Lisa Albus and husband Mark; daughter in law, Linda Wright; along with ten grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sandy’s name to Bibles N Boots Cowboy Church at 127 South Barton Lane, Levelland, Texas 79336.

The family would also like to extend a thank you to the staff of Lynwood Nursing and Rehabilitation for their compassionate care.
