Sherry Rust

Sherry Latonne Rust, 70, of Levelland, Texas, passed from this life on October 1, 2026. Sherry was born on October 20, 1955 to her parents, Jolene and Fred Burgess in Lubbock, Texas. Having grown up in Olton, Texas, Sherry eventually met the love of her life, Duane Rust, and got married on July 28, 1979.

Sherry enjoyed travelling and cooking, including making Christmas candy for the Holidays. What she loved most though was being "Meme" for her grandkids, a mother to her kids, a loving wife to her husband, and a devoted follower of the Lord.

Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Jolene Burgess.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her loving husband of 47 years, Duane Rust; her two sons Michael and wife Ashley, Jared and wife Kortney; sisters Janice Griffin and Danette Burgess; four grandchildren Stetson, Sterling, Kinsley, and Kaeson Rust; niece, Brandy Williamson; nephews, Justin Griffin and Dereck Burgess; and many cousins.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Krestridge Funeral Home, with internment to follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery. Memorials to be made in her honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or any Animal Shelter of your choosing.
