Simon'e Young

Simon'e Darice Young, 41, was born February 25, 1978, to Margaret and Spuregeon Peter Young, Sr., and was also the daughter of Samuel F.
Golightly, her loving stepfather.

Simon'e passed away December 3, 2019.

Simon'e was born with some disabilities, but she lived a life with great purpose until the end. Her smile was contagious and anyone who was fortunate to meet Simon'e never forgot her.

Simon'e went to Dayhab as part of her daily training and she loved watching wrestling and Family Feud. She also loved drinking coffee, eating French fries and listening to ''Diamonds and Pearls'' by Prince.

Simon'e was a self-appointed deaconess, raised in the church, and praising the Lord was her greatest joy!

Simon'e was preceded in death by two sisters and several wonderful family members.

Simon'e is survived by her mother, Margaret Golightly, and stepfather, Samuel F. Golightly, and her father, Spuregeon Peter Young, Sr. She is also survived by her two immediate sisters, Demetria Young and Kimberley A. Young. She is from a family of 11 sisters and three brothers.

Simon'e is also survived by her nephew, Savon Childers; her niece, Essence Childers; and her grandmother, Lovie Morgan.

Her memory will be cherished by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends, along with her Daybreak family.

A celebration of life will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Krestridge Funeral Home with Pastor Johnnie Evans, Sr., officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. at Krestridge Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any organization for children with special needs.
