Zella McDaniel

Zella May McDaniel, 88, died peacefully on June 6, 2018 in Levelland, Texas.

Zella May was born to Erasmus Crawford and Frankie May McDaniel in Sinton, Texas on June 29, 1929. She was an art graduate of the University of Texas, and later studied at Yale University. Zella May found much enjoyment in painting, and was also a book illustrator.

She grew up in a farming community with her father farming. Throughout her life she was always interested in "how the crops were doing", and had a love for the land.

Zella May was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by many relatives, friends, and her wonderful caregiver, to whom we are very thankful.
