About Us

Welcome to Krestridge Funeral Home

Gene and Katie Allen

Our History

The dream of opening a Funeral Home in Levelland has been something on the minds of Gene and Kate Allen for many years. Gene was born in Levelland and the Allen family was a part of the community as long as they can remember before leaving to pursue interests in the Hill Country. As time continued to pass, the urge became more present, and the need seemed to grow as individuals in the community encouraged the idea. Gene Allen, President / General Manager, had a vision that was born, and the work started.

After numerous hours of discussions, many days of looking at possible locations, and several months of planning, a building was located and purchased on December 23, 2015. Construction of re-purposing the building at 505 Austin Street which formerly housed Lobo Lanes began on January 2, 2016. After a tremendous amount of efforts, trials and errors, eight months later, Krestridge Funeral Home became reality and extended independent ownership for the sole purpose of serving Levelland, Hockley County and the surrounding area residents with a quality, honest, and respectful business. Krestridge Funeral Home officially opened for business on September 1, 2016, fully licensed through the Texas Funeral Service Commission.

Immediately, Gene and Kate knew that the decision was the correct one. The community gave an overwhelming show of support and welcomed Krestridge Funeral Home with open arms. Through hard work and determination, the facilities give a complete new look and feel in Levelland for the families that are served. Much technology and innovative ideas were put in place to enhance the way funeral services are provided.

The leading-edge use of the internet and technology to develop, market, and conduct business is what has given Krestridge Funeral Home the opportunity to make offerings above and beyond the traditional services you would expect from any Funeral Home of the past. Krestridge Funeral Home has the ability to offer a family and friends online tributes and condolences, online floral services for those who wish to order over the internet, and a private way of pre-planning for the future, just to mention a few.

Gene and Katie Allen, their family, and the entire staff at Krestridge Funeral Home takes great pride in being a part of the Levelland community and look forward to a long and rewarding life serving the families of the South Plains. Gene's philosophy is "families first," and he is committed in continuing to operate the business based on personal service and personal relationships in the community. Serving the community with a set of basic guidelines, Krestridge Funeral Home serves each family with "dignity, pride, and honor."
